The Yigal Allon Center strategically engages gap-year programs in order to impact Israel’s future. Gap year programs are a unique opportunity to raise young leaders committed to Yigal Allon’s values of active citizenship and humanistic Zionism, sharpen their critical thinking and methodically engage them on values.
In 2023 approximately eight-thousand Israeli high-school graduates chose to defer their military service, higher-education or gainful employment in order to serve their community and further their personal growth. About four-thousands of them choose pre-military or leadership academies and two-thousands chose a service year.
The Yigal Allon Center is the largest education service provider for gap year programs.
